Dr Stephen Fenton

Dr Stephen Fenton has been a practising cardiologist since 1983 and specialises in general adult cardiology, angiography and echocardiography. His clinical interests include general adult cardiology, echocardiography and cardiac catheterisation.

The convenor of the renowned international cardiology conference The Port Douglas Heart Meeting since 1999, Dr Fenton is actively involved in continuing professional education for GPs and cardiac health professionals, and is an invited chairperson, moderator and panelist at clinical cardiology conferences in Australia and internationally. Under his direction, Sydney Cardiology has become a well-recognised practice for cardiac sonographer training.

• Dr Fenton is a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
• He has been a Visiting Medical Officer at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Norwest Private Hospital since 1983.
• He is also a monthly columnist on cardiac education for The Medical Observer and consults in Sydney Cardiology’s Castle Hill and City practices.
